Pokale selected for B H Shridhar Award
- Litterateur Chandrakanth Pokale has been selected for the State-level B H Shridhar Literature Award. The award carries a purse of Rs 10,000, a citation and a memento.
- He has authored over 60 pieces of literature in Kannada and is known for Kannada-Marathi translation. In 2004, he bagged the Kendra Sahitya Akademi Award for the novel ‘Maha Nayak’ translated from Marathi to Kannada.
