'200 monuments in State up for adoption this year'

200 monuments in the State will be given to private parties for adoption and will be comprehensively developed by the end of the year.

25,000 monuments in the State, and the ‘Adopt a Monument’ scheme has been launched for the restoration of monuments in poor condition, by involving private parties. This year, 200 monuments will be given for adoption.

‘Adopt a Monument’ scheme 

This scheme is envisioned to synergize with other infrastructure development schemes of various departments and shall be implemented in collaboration with other Departments and Organisations, with the objective to ensure provision of amenities and facilities across the Heritage Monuments in Karnataka

 

A new tourism policy for 2024-2029 will soon be implemented
