Compost the organic way: Govt. and experts

• Concerned about the ‘new polluting trend’ masquerading as an eco-friendly garbage disposal solution, environmentalists and activists say it is impossible to generate compost within 24 hours.
• The pre-compost generated is completely useless unless it is processed again to form compost. No one will buy pre-compost and it will end up being thrown outside again. This defeats the purpose of composting.

City to host biggest drone racing contest

• The competition will be part of Bengaluru Tech Summit
• India’s biggest drone racing competition would take place at this year’s ‘ Tech Summit’, which would take place from November 29 to December 1.
• Top drone racing pilots in the country will compete in front of a large audience.
• The summit has also associated itself with the recently concluded global virtual hackathon called ‘Humane Code’.
• It is an effort by global coding communities to solve problems faced by humanity.
• The summit, which will run under the theme ‘Innovation and Impact’, will witness the participation of Finland, France, Germany, Netherlands, Estonia, Japan, Australia and the Czech Republic.
